Very friendly and welcoming staff from the moment we arrived. The room and common areas were clean as well. Couldn't be closer to Connemara National Park

I'm giving 5 star because while the rooms where basic I would class them closer to B&B standards than hostel. Very high standard for a 2 star hostel. The real perk is the extremely friendly staff and the lovely town in which its situated. Attached to a pub with lovely food and short walk back after a few pints honestly a terrific experience and extremely good value. Group of four

We booked very last minute (same day!) after severe weather dampened our camping plans and had a wonderful 2 night dog-friendly stay. Staff were helpful and environment was safe and welcoming for our dog. Room was very comfy and mostly clean, though dog sniffed out some stale looking kibble from under one bed base. Attached pub does the BEST mussels I've ever eaten. Laundry facilities were invaluable too. 10/10 would stay here again.

We loved our stay at Cloverfox. The room was very clean and comfortable, and nice and warm. The food in the pub was great, and the location was perfect for us. We will definitely return and would hugely recommend the hostel to anyone.

We stayed at Clover fox for two nights and it was the perfect base to explore the Connemara national park, absolutely stunning place to be. The manager is so beautiful and helpful, she really looked after us, answering any questions, ensuring we had a table at the restaurant, supporting the ones that had special dietry requirements in our group and surely the restaurant has the best bread ever! The room was comfortable, really small bathroom and not much space (we expected that) but surely it might be a challenging place for whom has sensitivity to mould or to heavy chemicals. The breakfast was just continental but we had access to the kitchen stove and we were able to cook our own porridge. the kitchen and hanging out area is comfortable and spacious. everyone is super willing to help! thank you .

Grand spot for exploring Connemara. Friendly staff. Basic, functional and clean accommodation. Ideal for family or friend groups. Small kitchen with the basics in it to make your breakfast and prepare a packed lunch for the hill. Bear in mind that it's in the centre of Letterfrack on a crossroads with 3 pubs. It can be noisy, so bring earplugs.

Great little place, private, quiet and with a great view. I stayed there while the area was on Level 3 lockdown, so the restaurant was closed. However, I did get a peek when paying - it's breathtaking even when empty. Highly recommended!

The owner was so kind and accommodating! Would recommend Clover fox to anyone. The food was lovely and the accommodation was very clean.
