Fresh Atlantic Seafood landed daily from Paul Sommerville in Connemara Fisheries. Fresh and Organic Vegetables, Fruits & Salads from Glynns of Carnmore. Organic wildflower Atlantic Honey from Dermot Flaherty of Glassilaun, Renvyle Puddings, Sausages and Cured Meats from James McGeough in Oughterard. Crab Meat from Pebble Beach in Renvyle. Cheeses from Carrowholly in Clew Bay and Portumna on the banks of the Shannon Seaweeds from the shores of Galway and Mayo. Prime Irish Hereford and Angus grass-fed beef, traceable to farmer and field.

The Cloverfox Connemara Pub was established in the Quaker village of Letterfrack in the mid-1800s. In remote and challenging times in Connemara, the building served as the Village Shop, Pub and Post Office. In doing so, it allowed the likes of the Mitchell Henry`s from the nearby Kylemore Abbey and the Quaker Ellis family, who first settled in Letterfrack, to resupply and communicate with the outside world. It was also an agent for Cunard Lines, and in this capacity, it was instrumental in helping thousands of young Connemara men and women as they set out to make a life in the New World.
Nowadays, our warm and welcoming traditional Irish pub welcomes visitors from all over the world to Connemara throughout the year, including many descendants of those who bought steerage on Cunard.
We invite you to come in, sit by a fire, rest awhile and enjoy an ancient land “where history abounds in scenic splendour”.
For those staying in our Cloverfox Connemara Holiday Hostel, the accommodation and the Cloverfox Connemara Bar are under the same roof, so there will be no need to worry about transport to your beds after enjoying a drink.
